TWENTY'ELEVEN TAIWAN - SINGAPORE TO HONG KONG

Bon Voyage! To the many first of my life. As a child, I have taken a few flights but they were hardly visible memories. The most recent flight that I could remember was a short flight to Kuala Lumpur from Singapore when I was about ten. I can simply count the number of flights I had taken in one hand easily. About ten years from then, I'm flying again!! First time flying without my Mom around and feeling as excited as a first-time flyer.. Hee..

This is my second school tour but the first school tour to fly. The number of countries that I have visited was too easy to count in one hand, Malaysia (the most often as that was where my Dad was from), Indonesia (my Grandma was an Indonesian before she was married, so we used to visit my Grandaunts when I was little..) and I could not remember the rest (or maybe there wasn't anywhere else on the list..). Anyway, cheers to my first time travelling further than the usual places and this will be my first visit to Taiwan and my first time setting foot in Hong Kong for transition!

We checked in at 8am and landed ourselves with more than enough time for breakfast!

That's the clique of people I'm with..

and my lovely roommate! We are flying with Cathay to Hong Kong for a transit to Taiwan!

Great friend BoBo to enjoy the flight with me to Hong Kong. My choice of food on flight to be Western Chicken with Mashed Potato and BoBo's choice was Chinese Fish Fillet with Rice.

I'm pretty curious with everything on flight! Especially the temperature outside. I wonder if it freeze outside. Growing up in a all year summer country does makes me feel interested in low temperature. Haha!

Finally! Here we are in Hong Kong International Airport waiting for transition after a four hour flight from Singapore! Worst practice of me leaving for a trip with a camera battery that was left with three bar of power. Now it's left with two.. I do hope my camera can last me till the end of the day.

P.S.: The powerpoint in the Airport were are faulty. Maybe they should do something about it?

PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO

Recently, I did a portfolio for my internship job application at a photography studio. I read this a few months ago which triggered me to do a portfolio that was different from my past doings..

"I am always shocked when I meet illustrators to review their portfolio by how easy it is to tell the student from seasoned professional (hint: the student has an over sized portfolio with original art and no websites; the pro has a small custom-made book with clean printouts and a functional site)." - How to be an Illustrator

VIDEO: FABBIE'S AFTERNOON

I was packing my digital files earlier on and found this video that was taken quite some time back. Did a little editing and added a short melody, my first video trial for my 550D. ♥♥

3H PICNIC AT SENTOSA

Finally a class outing together! Everyone brought a little part of the food. There was a little drizzle but it's still great! Except the part where some worms came invading our shelter TWICE. But well, despite the rain, we had fun with photos! One of our classmates brought a huge series of holga accessories and cameras. So here's some of the effects applied on my 550D. No Photoshop Actions involved! Enjoy!

Some small group of us went for a movie after the picnic at Vivocity! Yeah, you are seeing 11 movie tickets to Red Riding Hood. =)

I ADOPTED A BABY BUNNY

_MG_7630b

I saw a plain cardboard box ouside my door this morning and I was wondering where did it came from.. It came with a note:

_MG_7633b

"Dear Whoever It May Concern, Please take care of this Baby for me... - Love Anonymous" and guess what's in the box...?

Tadah! It's a baby bunny from A Bear's Place Store at Clarke Quay. Thanks to dear MeiMei YenFen for the belated birthday present! ^^

A Bear's Place Store is a Designer Bear Boutique where everything were tagged as adopted once it's sold. I have not seen any toy shop with a concept like this in Singapore, treating each Bears/Softoys as a living object like how we do it when we were still a child, talking to them like our best friends. They even got the toy wrapped up like a real baby! Check-out-the-shop's Website: http://www.abearplace.com/

YITING'S FIRST BIRTHDAY

Last December 11, we celebrated a little girl's first birthday at her cosy home! Her parents invited the almighty characters from Sesame Street specially for her Birthday! haha!

Here's some pictures that I took at the party, I suggested all the characters to be 1:1 size deco to mimic the real life characters. Well, that's the best I could do to deco the house with painted characters and cut out party hats all handmade with help from the family, rather than to invite the real characters! At least everyone enjoyed the party! Yay~

P.S.: That's the little birthday girl in the Elmo t-shirt!

DUCKY DUCKS!

We were out today, one fine day at Singapore Botanic Gardens, good for a picnic on the green grass patch! I prepared some sandwiches and bake rice for our very first picnic together! Taken with my Canon Powershot S5 IS Digital camera.
